Flamingos are fascinating creatures characterized by quirky behaviour and beautiful pink color, thanks to their diet. Did you know that they dance in groups and there are 136 known combinations of dance moves a flamingo can perform during the courtship dance? Here is a poem dedicated to the exotic bird...

The sky blue looked vast and bright,
The immenseness of it made the world seem right.
But the bay today was different I thought;
"How could it dazzle pink?" with my mind I fought.
Just then the pink dye seemed to run,
On to the blue waters, cheering the setting sun.
Did the blush flutter, or were my eyes mistaken,
I focused to unriddle what in my view had shaken.
What encountered was a sight to treasure and behold;
A thousand feet danced as it would unfold.
Long necks upright today swayed in unison,
Jogging memories of troops conquering a bastion.
As the wings of flame flapped and wiggled,
A surge of magma in cool waters I envisioned.
Still and bewildered, as though in deep trance,
Amazed, I goggled at this majestic dance.
